SCREEN DOOR JESUS (UMA PORTA PARA JESUS)

An eclectic cast of characters intertwines and collides around themes of faith, religion and race in a small East Texas town. Screen Door Jesus tells the story of the church-going, but not exactly God-fearing, town's folk who wake up one morning to discover the image of Jesus on Old Mother Harper's screen door. With media and crowds gathering around the phenomenon, and Jesus staring everyone straight in the face, it's time for people to take sides.


O ecléctico elenco de personagens se entrelaça e se choca em torno de temas de religião, fé e raça numa pequena cidade do Texas do leste. Screen Door Jesus conta a história da igreja em curso, mas não é exactamente sobre populares tementes a Deus da cidade, que ao acordar uma manhã descobrem a imagem de Jesus na porta da velha Mãe Harper'. Com os média e as multidões a reunirem-se em torno do fenómeno, e Jesus olhando todos directamente no rosto, é hora de as pessoas a tomar partido.
