THE ROLE OF AN APOSTLE (O PAPEL DE UM APÓSTOLO)

In this August 2010 interview, Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles emphasizes that the role of an Apostle is to “focus on individuals and families and bear witness of Christ.”

In what is both a worldwide and a very personal ministry, Elder Bednar points out that “there are trials I’ve not encountered that are remedied through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. And I don’t have to have personally experienced those trials to be able to bear witness of the Savior and of His Atonement and of its cleansing and strengthening power in the lives of people who are struggling.”
